and hopefully you have some enjoyment reading about it!

Suprise!

A little while ago, Ira from Merry Jingle put an idea in my head for some baby sleepyheads after she won Mr Sleepyhead on my blog give-away. Well, I had to have a go! that was two weeks ago and then disaster struck.... I spent a day making various body parts and baby pun-kins , shoved them in the oven and went off doing whatever it is airheads like me do. An hour later I returned and nearly sobbed as I'd burnt the lot!!! (no suprise really!) so I made more..... and then I couldnt work out how to get all the babies on a vine and still be able to reposition them.... and then real life kept pulling me off to do other things and then....
the procrastination ended and I made this....

I hope you like it Ira, it was just going to be a gift to keep Sleepyhead company, now its a special thankyou gift too :o) The candles should glow in the dark (they are only trainee illuminators at the moment until they grow off the vine) although I have no idea how I'm gonna get a picture of them glowing in the dark?? I tried & failed :o(
am now off to the post office .... they dont like to be out of the ground too long you know!

I don't know about sleepy Baby Pumpkins Wendie. There is a certain Granny Weatherwax who is still without clothes!!! She's told me, that she's debating, about joining a nudist colony!!! PMSL..

Love your babies Wendie and I'm glad that you are finally back to creating, can't wait to see what else you come up with...xxx

Debbie - Granny W would NEVER think such a thing!! even in scorching temps she would only perhaps remove one of her many many vests!! she's wrapped up well at the moment, to maintain her temp & her dignity.... & to prevent me from any hexing!!!!! we had words, she knows wots wot does Granny :o)

I will be working with paparlcay shortly, unsure how easy that will be in this heat!

wow Wendie I love them. Such a cool idea. I've been trying to make clay leaves to put on wire...not easy at all. I can't get them to stay attached lol.

Can you do something with the burned ones. There must be something hmmm.

I bought some glow in the dark paint a few weeks back and will be playing with glow in the dark plants soon :-)

I'm speechless. And it takes a lot to shut me up :D

The little baby Sleepy Heads are SO adorable, I am so, so, so happy about these wonderful little fellows :)

I'll have to start to build a crate for them where they can grow :)

THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH, I love them :)

And I'm really happy that you've gotten your creative mood back, can't wait to see what you make :)

Big hugs,

Ira

Ascension - gracias por sus amables palabras
Michelle - when you are using the paperclay remember to only use what you can handle & wrap the rest of the pack up in clingfilm ASAP to stop it drying out. Also a little spray bottle of water will help give you a bit of extra maleability & time in this heat. Good luck!
Jayne - the trick I used with clay on paperwire was to drop some liquid fimo /deco gel onto the wire first, it gave the clay something it knew to hang on to. All burnt offerings go in the bin in this house, I dont like reminders of what a fool Ive been LOL
Ira - Im happily relieved that you love them so much :o) there is a loop on the end for you to secure them into a garden , but I shall send them in a crate if thats how you want them to 'grow'.
Glenda - it took its time getting to you! but I suppose it was a very big ocean to cross ;o) and how I laughed at Hedgehogs.... I know a song about Hedgehogs ..... ♫♪!!!!! LOL
