Today is a clay day!
Today is a clay day - it has to be - I have an urge, a big one! I feel a witch trying to get out of my head and a need to assemble all the body parts scattered around my workdesk. I may be gone a while!! LOL
a new Era
OOh its a strange feeling waking up with an empty room where one of your kids was! The move yesteday went smoothly and he had some of his friends there to help him move the few boxes of stuff that he had, although we did do 2 trips with the van and trailer - his stuff just seemed to grow! anyway its all in his new flat now and I have an empty room. I so want to ignore it and just get the clay out and create something but I know me... I will procrastinate all day now probably about what I should do or might do or will doand this blogging lark is just another distraction so I had best go do something!
De- cluttering
Right, hello! I think I've got the hang of what this blog things about....
Having just read Jodi Creagers view on de-cluttering, it has just dawned on me that I will have a spare room this week as number 1 baby is leaving home to start his own adventures and I have no idea what I am going to do with his room! I shall miss him loads but I wonder how long it will be before his old room becomes just another place to dump my collective crap? Hubbs is always asking me when I bring home yet more stuff....'what does it do?' he is a non collector of 'stuff' - his possession's are minimal and all have a purpose, so he doesn't understand my need to collect things that might be useful one day or just look nice (well they look nice to me anyway). I do have useful stuff that actually has a purpose, most of it is in my kitchen or workroom. But I am now thinking that I have a need not to de-clutter but just to try and organise my belongings a little. How long does organised chaos last before it becomes just a mess? Maybe because my son is moving out, I just want to reaquaint myself with all my stuff for nostalgic reasons? Maybe it's what happens when you get to a certain age, the need for routine and organisation.... or maybe I'm just not well!

Well I finally gave in and decided to start a blog ..... I've visited a few friends blog pages and it looks like fun so thought I'd give it a whirl too. I have no idea how to make it all look swish and fancy just yet so bear with me , I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon enough. This will have to do for now, I'll be back in the morning to add some pics and other 'stuff'. If I start now I'll be here all night!
